Description
The Rose and Crown public house dates back to the 18th century, with a front dating to the mid-19th century, though local tradition suggests origins in the 16th century. It is a three-storey building. The front has five sash windows with simple surrounds and cornices; two of these windows are blocked. The upper storey’s windows have segmental heads. The ground floor features a 19th-century fascia with a passageway to the left, and a cornice above. At the rear are later additions comprising two parallel ranges of differing widths, some of which are weatherboarded and some tile-hung.
