Description
This coal taxpost, located 100 yards south of the junction with Sheepbarn Lane, was erected in 1861. It is made of cast iron and has a square shape with chamfered sides and moulded caps. The post features a shield from the City's Arms and is classified as No 184 type 2d in "The Coal Duties of the City of London and their Boundary Marks" published in 1972. The designer of this taxpost is Martin Nail.
