Description

The monument to the parents of John Ruskin is located in the south-east corner of the churchyard of St John on Shirley Church Road. It dates from around 1870 and is a rectangular Gothic table tomb made of white marble, featuring green marble colonnettes at the corners. It is likely designed by Ruskin himself and includes inscriptions by and about him.
