Description

Manor House, built in the late 18th century by Charles Minshaw and originally called Place Green House, is located on The Green, Sidcup. It is a two-story building with five windows, constructed of red brick. The three central bays project forward and are topped with a pediment. Painted stringcourses run along the facade. A prominent Venetian window is located in the centre of the first floor, set within a wide brick arch, with the corresponding second-floor window positioned in the head of this arch. A tetrastyle porch fronts the building, and narrow windows with semicircular fanlights are situated on either side of the doorway. Parapets top the wings. The ground floor windows of the wings are set within round-headed relieving arches. The original glazing bars are intact. The rear elevation features a single round-headed window above the doorway, flanked by semicircular bays containing three windows each. The roof is tiled, and later extensions have been added to the east. Return elevations display two windows in semicircular bays, with a chimney stack between them.
