Description

This is a two-storey house with a basement and attic, originally built in the earlier 18th century, and later expanded in the later 19th century. The main block comprises five bays arranged in a 3:3 pattern. The north-west wing is weatherboarded, while the rest of the house is constructed of red brick. The left bay features a round-headed doorway with a patterned fanlight and panelled reveals, framed by original pilasters and supported by a cast iron column porch. The windows are flush-framed double-hung sash windows; the first floor of the left bay has a recessed, later 19th-century style window. The right two bays retain their original glazing bars, with a later window also present. The roof is a tiled mansard with casement windows and substantial chimney stacks. A later 19th-century, one-bay south wing has segmental-headed sash windows, a cement cornice band, and a hipped tiled roof with a central chimney. The earlier 18th-century staircase features a closed string.
