Description

The Lawrence Campe Almshouses, built around 1612, consist of a row of seven two-storey red brick cottages featuring a brick string-course and a brown tile roof. The buildings were renovated in 1843 and 1899. They include dormers and several notable chimneys. The windows are three-light casements with stone mullions below and two lights above. The doorways are designed in a Tudor arch style. On the first floor, there are seven stone plaques with carvings. The cottages are set back from the road, surrounded by grass and trees.
