Description
Hendon Town Hall, built in 1900 by T H Watson, is a Grade II listed building located on the west side of The Burroughs in Hendon, NW4. The building is constructed of red brick and stone in a pre-Renaissance style. It features a symmetrical ground storey with three bays on either side of a porte cochere, which has semi-circular rusticated heads. Above the rusticated arch, there is a scrolled pediment flanked by attached Doric columns.
On the first storey, there are two oriel windows connected by iron balustrading above the porte cochere, along with mullioned and transomed windows. The building has gabled wings on the left and right, each with a central window. Above the central block, there is stone balustrading, a set back slate roof, and a timber lantern topped with two weather vanes.
