Description
Gladsmuir is a villa dating from approximately 1830, situated in Hadley Common, Monken Hadley. The house is built of red brick with a decorative plot band, quoins, and architraves of stucco. It has a low-pitched slate roof with deep eaves supported by brackets. The facade has two storeys and five windows, featuring sash windows with glazing bars. A central porch features Doric columns with fluted details and a triglyph entablature, leading to panelled double doors. The entrance hall is noted as being particularly good; the interiors beyond were not inspected during the listing process.
