Description
The Headmaster's House, formerly known as The Grove, is a late 16th century or early 17th century building that was remodeled by Stanley Hamp around 1912. It has an irregular shape with a three-window center and gabled cross wings at either end, positioned at right angles to the road. The house is two storeys high and features whitened weatherboard, although the ground floor and the north-east cross wing have been cemented. The north-east wing projects towards the garden front. The entrance door is topped with an early 18th century flat hood supported by carved brackets, and the house has mainly 18th century glazing. There are also some interesting interior features.
