Description

The Church of St Peter, built in 1840, is an early Gothic revival structure made of brick. It features an aisleless nave and transepts, characterized by simple pointed windows. The chancel was added in 1898 by Traylern and is constructed from flint with firestone dressings. The interior is very plain, and the east window, created in 1903 by Kemper, adds a touch of artistry. The church was originally built as an episcopal chapel at the expense of Mr Enoch Durant.
