Description

This is an 18th-century row of cottages located on the east side of The Burroughs in Hendon. The row consists of ten cottages, numbered 44 to 52 (even). They are built of brown brick and are two storeys in height, with one or two windows visible in each cottage. Red brick window arches and red-tiled roofs, including dormers, are prominent features. The windows retain their original glazing bars. Number 48 in the row projects forward 4½ inches and its windows are set within a tall, arched recess, creating a central feature for the row.
