Description

The gates, railings, and gate piers to New Palace Yard at the Houses of Parliament were constructed between 1860 and 1867 by E M Barry. They are designed in the Gothic style and made from Portland stone, as well as cast and wrought iron. The gate piers feature gablet-spire caps, and the railings and gates showcase intricate Gothic ironwork.
