Description

This is a row of houses located on Eaton Terrace in the City of Westminster, dating from the early 19th century. The houses are built of brick with the ground floor channelled in stucco. The roofs are not visible. The row consists of four storeys and a basement, and originally each house had two windows, although numbers 28, 30, 38, and 40 vary in height and width, with number 28 being three storeys and three windows wide.

Each house features a round-headed entrance with a panelled door. Number 40 has a 20th-century shopfront. The windows are square-headed and mostly retain their original sash windows with glazing bars. First-floor cast iron balconettes are present, although the design differs: number 28 has a different pattern than the rest, and number 36 is lacking a balconette. The houses are topped with parapets, and cast iron area railings are present at street level.
