Description

The lamp standards lining the road and circus in front of Buckingham Palace were designed by Sir Aston Webb in 1911 as part of his ceremonial approach to the palace. These tall lamp standards are made of cast bronze and feature concave square bases with dolphins at the corners. The fluted circular section stems support twin bracketed hanging lamps, and each stem is topped with a nef over a cypher.
