Description

The summerhouse located at the center of the south side of St. James's Square garden was built in 1822, with its construction supervised by John Nash, who likely designed it as well. The structure is made of painted timber. The north front features coupled columns, although the Ionic capitals have been removed, and it is topped with a dentil pediment. The south elevation is similar but has a solid appearance with coupled pilaster treatment.
