Description
The "Boy with a Frog" fountain is located in the southwest segment of Queen Mary's Gardens, east of the west lodge in Regent's Park, City of Westminster. This Grade II listed fountain sculpture was presented by Sigismund Goetze in 1936 and created by the sculptor Sir William Reid Dick RA. It features a bronze figure of a kneeling boy holding a frog, which is set on a heavy black marble podium shaped like a calyx. The podium rises from a stepped polygonal base and is situated in the center of a pool that has a marble surround with apsed sides.
