Description
The Bronze Eagle Statue, located in Queen Mary's Gardens, is an ornamental statue set on a rock in the water to the east of the Island Rock Garden. It is believed to date from the early 19th century and is of Japanese origin. The statue was presented to the Royal Parks by Felix Greene in memory of Edward Greene in 1974. It is a cast bronze representation of a naturalistic eagle, with its wings outspread and head down, as if it has just landed on the rock.
