Description
Nos 30 and 30A on Sackville Street are terrace houses built around 1732, with some alterations made in the 19th century. They are constructed of brown brick and feature a slate roof. The buildings rise three storeys with a basement and a dormered mansard, and they are five windows wide. The ground floor is stuccoed and decorated with Doric pilasters, and there are two entrances. The recessed sash windows have stucco architraves and no glazing bars, with the three central windows on the first floor topped by pediments. A stone cornice sits above the second floor, leading to a parapet with coping. Inside, the buildings retain some original features, including panelling and doorcases on the ground floor, while the front room on the first floor is fully panelled and has an enriched plaster cornice.
