Description
Two Piece Reclining Figure No 1 is a sculpture created in 1959 by Henry Moore. The sculpture is made of cast bronze and is placed on a circular concrete pedestal. It depicts an abstracted female figure divided into two parts, with a rough, textural finish. The sculpture measures approximately 1 meter in height and 1.2 meters in width, and it stands on a pedestal that is 1 meter high. There is a plaque on the north-east side inscribed with ‘TWO PIECE RECLINING FIGURE NO1 1959 / HENRY MOORE 1898-1986’.
