Description
The Firs is a mid-19th century villa designed by George Jennings. It is three windows wide and two storeys high, built of stock brickwork with terracotta detailing. The roof is low-pitched and slate-covered, with a wide overhang supported by brackets. The ground floor has rusticated bay windows with cornices and blocking courses on either side of a central entrance, which is accentuated by a Corinthian porch. The first-floor windows are round-headed, each with a richly decorated architrave.
