Description
The Parish Pump, dated 1823, is an iron structure located on Mitcham Road. It was erected by the principal inhabitants of the parish to commemorate the sinking of an artesian well and the provision of a pump. The modern base supports a square plinth featuring recessed floral panels. Above this, there is a Doric baluster adorned with foliate decoration, which carries an altered circular open basin and a hood topped with an urn finial.
