Description

36 to 44 Alie Street is a group of buildings from the 18th century. They are constructed of brick and feature parapets, with tiled mansard roofs, although the facade of No 36 has been rebuilt, making the roof not visible. The buildings are three stories high with dormers and generally have three windows each. There are brick string courses between the first and second floors. The facade of No 36 is painted, while Nos 33 and 40 are stuccoed. The windows of Nos 42 and 44 have a slight arch, and Nos 36 and 38 have glazing bars above their ground floor windows. All the buildings have shop fronts. Nos 28 to 44 form a group with Nos 9 to 25.
