Description
Nos 32 and 34 on Commercial Road, built in the early to mid 19th century, are industrial premises made of stock brick. They feature a stone pedimented arched carriageway entrance between the two buildings. There are stucco mouldings at the impost height, with stucco scrolls serving as keystones and brackets. A brick cornice runs along the top.
No 32 is two storeys tall with three windows that have tapering segmental heads and stucco keystones, all beneath a heavy brick cornice and blocking course. The windows are sashes without glazing bars, and the ground floor window includes margin lights. The door has a plain fanlight, and there are rusticated brick quoins on the sides of the ground floor, topped by a stucco band.
No 34 is three storeys high and has a later shop front on the ground floor, but otherwise resembles No 32.
