Description

Trinity House Buoy Wharf Quay and Orchard Dry Dock is a fine ashlar dressed quay dating from around 1860, located along the Thames and returning to Bow Creek. It features river stairs set into the riverside wall. This wharf was constructed to support all Trinity House lightships, lighthouses, and buoys. The dry dock is situated on the west side of the site, lined with ashlar and partly filled, but it retains an iron plated caisson in place.
