The London County Council Public Health Department at Mile End Hospital is a mid-19th century building designed in the Jacobean style. It features red brick construction with white stone dressings and geometric designs in blue and white brick. The building has a slate roof adorned with clustered chimney stacks and stands three storeys tall with a total of 11 bays. The central section includes balustraded hair windows that extend through two storeys and are topped with Flemish gables.
