Description
This is an early 19th century terrace of six houses, numbered 1 to 9, located on the east side of Sidney Square in London. The houses are built of stock brick with a coped parapet, and some areas have been patched. The roof is not visible. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with two windows at each level. The windows are mostly un-bared sash windows; the ground floor windows and doorways are round-headed. Each doorway has a fanlight above a six-panelled door. Fluted pilasters are present on the facades of most of the houses, except for numbers 5, 6, 7 and 9. Most first-floor windows have iron balconies. These houses, along with numbers 18 to 25 on the opposite side of Sidney Square, form a group of two remaining early 19th century terraces.
