Description

The revetment wall on the north side of the moat, extending from Tower Hill Postern to the Tower Bridge Approach, was built between 1670 and 1673 by Sir Bernard de Gomme. It features Flemish bond brickwork with a stone coping. The section to the east was completely rebuilt during the construction of Tower Bridge. The wall has undergone repairs in the 19th and 20th centuries.
