Description

The Church of St Barnabas was built between 1900 and 1909 by architects Bucknell & Comper. It features a simple design with a triple-gable front, constructed from red brick with stone dressings and a red tiled roof. The church includes a nave and aisles with bays of pointed arcading, but lacks a clerestory and chancel arch. It is designed in the Perpendicular Gothic style, showcasing 4-light windows in the aisles and 3, 6, and 4-light windows on the west front. The central porch is supported by broad buttresses, and there is a continuous arcade beneath the buttresses of the north and south aisles. The interior is plain.
