Description
This is a tomb with a draped urn located in the churchyard to the north-west of the portico of the Church of St John with All Saints. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and is made of Portland stone. The tomb features a draped urn sitting on a high square plinth, which has angle pilasters and an entablature, all resting on a square base. The tomb bears the motto "vero nihil verius" and displays a crest of a boar passant on a chapeau, with a motto below. The inscription has worn away, but it may have included the names Vere or de Vere.
