Description

This is a mid-19th century stuccoed terrace consisting of numbers 1 to 4. The building is four storeys high, with an attic and basement. Each property has three windows. Prominent Doric porches are advanced at each property. A cast iron balcony with a bombé (rounded) shape breaks forward over the porches at first floor level. The first floor centre window is pedimented. A richly detailed dentil cornice runs above the third floor, topped by a parapet. The roof is a Mansard design, with dormers. The return elevation to the right hand side is also visible. The cast iron area railings are of a strong design, featuring balls and spikes. The terrace is in an unspoilt condition and forms part of the original layout of Cromwell Place.
