Description

The Tomb of Robert Smirke, who died in 1845, is located in Kensal Green Cemetery. It features a headstone made of Carrara marble, which includes a circular niche that holds a frontal bust surrounded by a wreath. In front of the headstone is a coped ledger. Robert Smirke was a notable Royal Academician and a painter known for his religious and literary scenes. He was also the father of the architect Sir Robert Smirke.
