Description

These dwellinghouses on Paultons Square date from around 1840 and form one of three balanced blocks. The buildings are three storeys high with basements, and a fourth storey is added to the central groups (number 11 to 15). Each block is two windows wide. The construction is primarily yellow brick, with a stucco ground floor. The facades feature stucco cornices and blocking courses above the second floor. The ground floor windows are arched, while the windows above are square-headed. Windows on the four-storey block have architraves, while the others have gauged arches. Iron balconies are present at the first floor level, and area railings are also a feature. Numbers 291 to 301 King’s Road are considered to be a group with the buildings on Paultons Square.
