Description
Nos. 20 to 33 Thurloe Square form a terrace of houses built between 1839 and 1843, designed by George Basevi. The terrace exhibits a balanced appearance and is constructed of brick, with a rusticated stucco finish to the ground floor. The houses have three storeys, a basement, and an attic. Each has a Doric porch, and a continuous balcony with cast iron railings runs along the front. The first-floor windows are set within stucco architraves. Nos. 20, 25, 28, and 33 project slightly forward, featuring pilasters that rise through the first and second storeys to the corners.
