Description
The Queen Elizabeth College and Queen Mary Hall date to 1914 and were designed by Adams and Holden in a Neo-Georgian style. This large building is constructed of brick with stone dressings, and stands five storeys high. It comprises two main blocks facing Duchess of Bedford Walk, with additional wings set behind. Each block is eight windows wide and symmetrical, featuring a two-storey bay window to each of the outer bays. Cornices are present above the third floors, topped by parapets. The two blocks are connected by a single-storey range with a pitched tiled roof that extends to the parapet. Windows are square-headed; sash windows are found in the main blocks while the linking block features casements. Entrances are located beneath the two inner bay windows. The interior has not been inspected.
