Description
The Tower House is a detached house built between 1875 and 1881 by William Burges for himself. It is constructed of red brick with a slated roof and features two main storeys, a basement, and a roof storey. The design is asymmetrical and reflects the Gothic style. To the left, there is an advanced wing with a gable facing the road, while a wing set back at right angles is located on the right side. Between these wings stands a round tower topped with a conical turret. The entrance is situated on the right-hand return and includes a projecting porch. The windows are mullioned and transomed, featuring leaded lights and stained glass, with lancet windows in the tower. The house is adorned with tall chimneys and is accompanied by a garden wall. The interiors are also considered important.
