Description

The King’s Head and Eight Bells Public House dates from the early 19th century and is situated on a corner plot. It is two storeys high and built of stucco. The front elevation, facing Cheyne Walk, has three narrow bays. The ground floor has rusticated detailing and three segmental-headed openings: two entrances and a central window. Above this is a frieze and cornice. The first floor has three square-headed sash windows divided by plain pilasters, topped by a cornice. A punctuated parapet is present, with two bays of balustrades. The corner of Cheyne Row is rounded. A return side, consisting of three wider bays, has no pilasters to the upper floor, except on the corner. This side also has a band and parapet.
