Description
This building, located to the south of the range west of Chelsea Gate roadway at the Royal Hospital, is a lodge that includes a brick orangery, which was later converted into stables, originally part of the former Walpole House. It dates from the late 17th century and later. The facade facing Chelsea Gate Road is constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings and features Portland stone quoins. The building is four windows wide and has a single storey. It has a timber eaves cornice and a hipped slate roof.
