Description

Numbers 5 to 10 Sebastian Street form a terrace of houses built between 1815 and 1818. They are constructed of yellow brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with roofs hidden behind a parapet, though Number 5 has a mansard roof covered with artificial slate. The houses are three storeys high, with a basement, and originally had two windows apiece, though Number 5 includes an attic. All window and doorway openings feature gauged brick heads.

The entrances are round-arched and recessed, with Number 5 and Number 10 featuring reeded engaged columns, a modillion cornice, and a fanlight. Numbers 6 to 9 have reeded pilasters, a modillion cornice, a fanlight, and panelled doors of original design. The ground-floor windows are round-arched and recessed under a round arch. A stucco storey band marks the first floor, where windows are flat-arched and recessed under a round arch, each accompanied by an individual iron balcony. The second-floor windows are also flat-arched. Original sash windows are present in Numbers 7 (first and second floors), 8, and 9 (first floor). Number 5 has dormer windows in its mansard roof. Cast iron railings are present to the area.
