Description

Numbers 11-23 (odd) and attached railings are a row of terraced houses dating to the early 19th century. They are built of yellow brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with some sections rendered, and the roof is hidden behind a parapet. Each house has three storeys above a basement, and two windows apiece. The window surrounds have gauged brick heads. The basement of numbers 13-17 is rendered. Steps lead up to round-arched entrances, which have reeded cornices (except for numbers 19 and 21), and fanlights with decorative glazing to numbers 13 and 15. The ground-floor windows have segmental arches, while the upper-floor windows are flat-arched. First-floor windows have iron balconies, except for number 23, which appears to have original 6/6 sash windows. A brick string course runs below the parapet. Party walls have stacks. The area railings have spearhead and urn finials.
