Description
This is the base of a windmill, likely dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed of red brick laid in English bond, with patches of 20th-century brickwork where buildings that were once attached have been removed. The roof is tiled. The circular base is approximately 12 metres in diameter. A blocked segmental arch marks an entrance on the north face, while a later entrance to the south-west features a timber lintel, double doors, and strap hinges. A small circular lantern sits at the apex of the conical roof. The interior contains no original features.
