Description
Numbers 351 and 353 are a pair of early 19th-century terraced houses on the west side of Liverpool Road, Islington. The houses are constructed of darkened stock brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with channelled stucco to the ground floor and stucco for the first-floor sill band. The roof is an artificial-slate mansard style with a dormer window in the centre and brick stacks. The plan incorporates a side hall entrance.
The houses are three storeys high with a basement and attic, each having two windows. Steps lead to the front entrance, which features Greek Doric columns supporting a corniced head and a patterned fanlight above a six-panelled door. The ground floor has round-arched sash windows with six-over-six panes, curved glazing bars, margin lights, and are set in a stucco recess. The first floor has full-length sash windows, also with six-over-six panes, set within a gauged brick flat arch and an arched recess, with iron balconies below. Attached cast-iron railings run along the front.
