Description
Numbers 15 to 18 Wynnyatt Street comprise a terrace of four houses built between 1798 and 1800. They are constructed of yellow and brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with roofs largely concealed behind a parapet; number 18 has a mansard roof covered with artificial slate. Each house has three storeys over a basement, and two windows to the front. The entrances to numbers 15 to 17 have round arches with pilaster details to number 17, a cornice, fanlight, and a panelled door of original design at number 17. Number 18 has a cambered arch to its entrance, a simple doorcase, a cornice, and an overlight. Windows to numbers 15 and 16 have flat arches with gauged brick heads; number 17 has cambered-arched windows, with one window to the second floor; and number 18 has cambered-arched windows to the ground and first floors with gauged brick heads, the second-floor window being a dormer in the mansard roof. Stacks are located within the party walls. The area railings are topped with spearhead finials.
