Description
Nos 135 to 149 Talgarth Road, also known as Nos 1 to 8 St Pauls Studios, is a terrace of studio houses built in 1891 by Frederick Wheeler. The design features a balanced composition made of red brick and buff terracotta, topped with a slate roof. The building stands three storeys high, including basements, and has half dormers with studio windows that have arched heads. Each house has bay windows on the ground floor, along with porches at the entrances. The terrace is connected by balustraded parapets with pinnacles situated between pairs of houses, and it features tall chimneys. The ground floor and basement windows are adorned with leaded lights, and there are wrought iron area railings.
