Description

This is a row of four pairs of mid-19th century terraced houses, numbered 4-7 Church Crescent, London E9. Numbers 4 and 5 are constructed of pinkish brick, with a low-pitched hipped slate roof, a central roof ridge, and tall brick chimneys. They have mutuled eaves soffits and gauged near-flat brick arches over contemporary one-bar casement windows with stone sills. The frontages feature quasi-classical stuccoed porches on the returns.

Numbers 6 and 7 are built of red brick with yellow brick dressings, stuccoed quoins, and a band of stucco, upon which paired brackets support the soffit of their low-pitched hipped slate roof, which also includes a central roof ridge and tall brick chimney. They have gauged yellow brick arches over contemporary casement windows. They also have quasi-classical porches on their returns.

The buildings are part of a group with Monger House and the East Wall.
