Description
St Botolph's Church Hall, formerly known as the Hall of the Fan Makers Company, is a single-storey classical building dated 1861. It is constructed of red brick and Portland stone, featuring a pedimented end and a slated roof. The building has five arched windows on the side elevations, with the western side partly altered. These windows have a continuous impost moulding, and the central opening is in a Venetian style. The entrance is marked by a pair of partly recessed Doric columns, with a lunette window above. There are simple, flanking niches that contain painted figures of charity children, which are likely from the 18th century.
