Description
No. 6 to 8 Bow Lane is a mid-19th century commercial building constructed from polychrome brick, painted stone, and cast iron. It features panels of glazed tiles and carved decoration in a gothic style. The building stands four storeys high and has five windows. There are two shops with a central entrance leading to the main part of No. 7 at the rear, which is not of interest. The ground storey is supported by paired cast iron columns and beams. Above, the windows are divided by small columns, with decorative panels extending up to the sills of the second storey. The top storey has five single windows and a plain parapet. This building is listed for its character rather than for its architectural quality.
