Description
Number 10 is a terraced house located on Church Row in Camden, likely built around 1728 by R. Hughes and refronted in the late 18th century. The house is constructed of yellow stock brick and features a late 20th-century tiled mansard roof with dormers. It stands three storeys high, with a basement and attic, and has three windows.
The entrance boasts an elliptical-arched doorway complete with a keystone and impost bands, along with a radial patterned fanlight and sidelights framing a panelled door. The windows are slightly recessed and topped with gauged red brick flat arches, featuring fluted quasi-pilaster casings and louvred shutters. The first floor is adorned with a continuous cast-iron balcony, and the building is capped with a parapet.
Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to retain some original panelling. The staircase has been altered, but the upper flights still feature closed moulded strings. Additionally, there are attached cast-iron railings in front of the area.
