Description

The building is a pair of semi-detached houses, located at 51 Kelly Street and 98 Castlehaven Road, constructed in the mid-19th century. Each house has two main floors, an attic, and a semi-basement, and features three windows. The entrance bays slightly project from the façade. The exterior is stuccoed, with a rusticated ground floor. The roofs are slate-covered and include dormer windows.

The doorcases are distinguished by Corinthian columns that support an entablature; the cornice of this entablature extends as a band at the first floor level, projecting forward above the tripartite ground-floor sash window and supported by enriched console brackets. A wide, bracketed sill incorporates a cast-iron balcony. The first-floor windows are round-arched and have architraved heads with vermiculated keystones, and bracketed sills. Number 51 has a parapet, while Number 98 features a bracketed cornice and a blocking course. The interiors have not been inspected.
