Description
The Mortuary Chapel in St George's Gardens was built around 1820. It is constructed of yellow brick with stucco dressings and is a single-storey structure. The front features a panelled door beneath a pediment, with a side window set within a battered surround. There is also a notable slate tablet, signed by W Wootton of Kegworth, which commemorates the Taylor family and dates back to 1763. The building served as a mortuary later in the 19th century. The interior has not been inspected.
