Description

The lych gate to the west of the Church of St Giles-in-the-Fields was built in 1800, as indicated by a carved inscription on its east face. It is constructed from stone and features wrought-iron gates. The design is reminiscent of a single Doric triumphal arch. On the west face, there is a lunette panel that is a cast of the original oak depiction of the Resurrection, which dates back to 1687 and was created by Love; the original has been restored and is kept in the church.
